About ASAMEx

The Austrian-South African Medical Exchange offers paramedics and emergency physicians from Austria, Germany and Swiss a unique opportunity to join an observership program an gain valuable experience in emergency medical care in Johannesburg. In collaboration with our local partner UREMS, participants have the chance to observe on the Rapid Response Vehicle (RRV), gaining deep insights into the challenges and dynamics of emergency medicine on the ground. In addition, there may be opportunities to observe  in-hospital settings. This program not only provides professional training but also fosters intercultural experiences and the exchange of best practices in the field of emergency medicine.
